Discussion: The Effects of Technology in the Workplace

New technology in mass communication allows for the quick dissemination of information on everything from health and disease prevention to community and political issues. This is changing the way we receive information and providing new opportunities to interact with our communities and the world. In this Discussion, you will examine the changing flow of communication.

To prepare for this Discussion:

Identify the change in communication technology that has most altered the way you communicate. Consider how these changes influence the ways in which you disseminate and receive information. Determine how this technological change affects the workplace.
