Two reasons why interest groups are a positive influence on society are-

1. They share common interest and may add views or support the interest of the scoiety.

2. They work in tandem and alongside the interest of the society.

Two negative influences:

1. If they find themselves to be the power bank of the change, they may try and mould the actions for change to their own benefit.

2. Some groups have very narrow target and doesn’t work on all dependent problems as a whole. Hence while they try to benefit the society on one work, their work may negatively affect another one, and they mightnot even pay attention to the one which is getting affected negatively
