Psychologist Dr. Leon Festinger demonstrated the principle in his study exploring this concept and the justification effect. What do you think is the relationship between an individual’s attitude and behavior when taking on a task in which he/she is not so interested? In the study, how is the principle of conformity examined in your own words?

When and why do you think the subject in the experiment began to “second guess” himself.  What are some of the circumstances which contribute to “conformity”.  Why do you think some people are more like to conform than others

Were you ever in a situation where you had to conform? Why did you feel the need to conform?
