Is terrorism on the rise or have we just ignored it?

It is a list of major terrorism cases over the years.

Is terrorism on the rise or have we just ignored it?

Should there be more events on the list in the years past (1930s, 40s, 50s, 60s)?  We had quite a few events in the 60s that could be listed)

We have also faced some domestic terror groups that have agendas in our borders, like ELF.  Thoughts?
