Major Functions of Articular and Nervous Systems

Major Functions of Articular and Nervous Systems

Prior to beginning work on this discussion forum, review over explain everything please this professor wants every detail possible

Our body is unique in that it encompasses various systems, and each system has its own essential jobs. Simply put, the proper functioning of the human body’s systems is vital for our daily survival. The countless movements we make are often taken for granted, at least until pain or other complaints arise. Get ready to explore each system in a little more detail while assessing the interconnections between all of these four systems! Each student must address Part 1 and Part 2:

Part 1:

If your last name begins with A through L, you will analyze the major functions of the skeletal and muscular systems.

If your last name begins with M through Z, you will analyze the major functions of the articular and nervous systems.

Part 2:

Assess how the four systems (i.e., skeletal, muscular, articular, and nervous) work together to create movement. In order to demonstrate your understanding of this concept, select a common everyday movement that requires all four systems to perform. Discuss each system’s function throughout the movement.

Reference your textbook, and include at least one additional scholarly or credible source to support your research and findings (see the Scholarly, Peer-Reviewed, and Other Credible Sources table for assistance). All sources must be referenced and cited according to APA Style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center (see Introduction to APA for assistance). Your initial post must be at least 250 words.

Guided Response: Respond to two peers by Day 7. Each peer response must be at least 100 words. After reviewing your peer’s movement assessment, compare and contrast your examples:

  • How were the assessments similar?
  • How were they different?
