Your final exam covers the second half of the course (October 17- December 5, 2018), which largely focuses on providing you with an introduction to current issues and events in world affairs specifically two categories of issues: “religious and human rights” and “environmental issues”. You must answer all three questions that are presented below. The examination is a take home essay and you are permitted to use any resources you need including books, journal articles, and notes from my lectures. However, you are NOTpermitted to consult with other students to complete the questions on the examination. If evidence of collaboration between students is determined, this will be considered plagiarism and you will receive a “0” for the examination and an “F” for the course.
Moreover, you must use in-text citation for references to previously published materials; however, you may use whatever citation format you prefer as long as you use it consistently and correctly. At this point in your academic careers, you should not rely on the use of quotations unless it is absolutely essential for your argument. Therefore, you should paraphrase the thoughts and arguments of previously published work; however, please ensure to use in-text citation for thoughts and arguments that are not your own. You do not need to provide a bibliography for your references. As noted in the syllabus, the failure to provide in-text citation for thoughts that are not your own is considered plagiarism, intentionally or unintentionally.
