write a 3-4 page reflective essay on the Karen Hannen Case (posted on Blackboard), using as guide lines those provided by “The Seven Elements of Negotiation” (Handout) and using as main analytical references 1. “Difficult Conversations” 2. “Beyond Reason” and 3. “Interpersonal Conflict”

Assume Karen Hannen’s role and situation as described in the case study, analyze her dilemma, and say how she should prepare for the conversation she must have with Robert Welch. You must develop your own argument and not replicate or summarize another author’s argument.

Describe your preparations for the upcoming conversation alluded to in the Karen Hannen case study. Identify your objectives for the conversation and describe the approach you would take in this situation, and explain why. Consider the variety of ways the conversation might go and what you would do and say as it develops. In particular, include a script that you would use at the beginning of the conversation to set the tone and frame the rest of the conversation, and identify any other statements that you imagine you might make or questions that you imagine you might ask as the conversation goes along.

Format: Maximum four double-spaced pages (not counting any cover page and the bibliography). Use 11-point Times New Roman or similar font, 1” margins, Word, and indented paragraphs (so that no extra lines are needed between paragraphs).

Evaluation: Evaluation of the paper will be primarily based on (a) the quality of your insights and (b) your ability to demonstrate that you have studied the course readings (whether or not we have discussed them! – failure to utilize readings of obvious relevance will have a seriously negative impact on your grade) and have reflected on class discussions and see their relevance to what you did (or should have done) during the preparation for and conduct of the “in-class” negotiation exercises. Therefore, cite course readings in a way that makes your understanding of them clear. Please, put footnotes in parentheses in the text (author and page number).

The following are the minimal elements that your term paper should include:

1. The setting of the conversation between Karen and Robert

2. Tone and approach for Karen to adopt

3. Opening statement

4. Statement of the problem from Karen’s point of view

5. Inviting Robert to speak his mind about the problem

6. Questions that Karen needs to ask Robert

7. Negotiation of a solution

8. References to the readings (Please, see above)

I have attached the case and also the 7 elements of negotiation that should be used.

Law and Your Profession

DUE: 08.27.14 @ 12:00 p.m.

You are a designer of children’s clothing and decide to open a children’s clothing store. You find a nice space in a local mall and agree to sign a one-year lease agreement that runs from September 1 to August 31. The lease agreement specifies that the lease cannot be assigned without the mall’s consent. In late May, you decide that this space is not attracting enough customers, so you decide to assign the balance of your lease to Priscilla, who owns a candle shop. The mall objects to the assignment and denies Priscilla access to the space. You are certain that Priscilla is financially sound and should be allowed the full rights and privileges of an assignee. Discuss fully whether or not you or the mall is correct.

Be sure to

  1. Discuss fully the elements of assignment.
  2. Examine whether or not rights can be assigned if prohibited in a lease contract.
  3. Analyze the distinctions between commercial assignments and residential assignments.

Compose a 250 words assignment on prior learning assessment options.

Compose a 250 words assignment on prior learning assessment options. Needs to be plagiarism free! &nbsp.I plan to participate in the portfolio process and use my life-learning essay within it. I do not wish to use the transfer of courses, because right now I feel that I did not attend the schools long enough, and not sure how many classes I completed.

As well, I do not want to do the CLEP or DSST tests right now because I have not completed enough classes to acquire the basic literacy skills to complete the testing options. I understand that they are necessary to get credits that supplement my degree, but there is a huge chance of me failing and weakening my grades in my major.

In addition, I have too much stress now to do the tests appropriately. I may end up failing the test, and that would be bad for my curriculum vitae. The stress arises from personal home and school issues and I have been unable to concentrate in class and attend all class lessons. As a result, I have missed some important parts of the syllabus that are necessary for my overall assessment.

write an article on Renewable Energy. It needs to be at least 1750 words.

The source of solar energy is practically unlimited, and it is accessible and able to be used in many parts of the world. However, to plan and design proper energy conversion systems, solar energy experts must be equipped with appropriate knowledge of harvesting the energy. Trieb (2005), among others, did research on the aspect of solar irradiation, which is electromagnetic radiation from the sun’s rays. They found that outside the earth’s atmosphere, the solar irradiance on a surface perpendicular to the sun’s rays at a mean distance between the world and the sun practically remains unchanged throughout the year. According to Bailey et al. (1997), its value is now accepted to be 1.367W/m2. “This figure is estimated to be about 1,000W/m2 on the earth’s surface when the sky is clear”.

When the sun’s surface temperature is almost 6000K, the sun’s electromagnetic irradiance is spread over wavelengths ranging from 0.3 to 3µm. About 50% of solar irradiance is infrared, 40% is visible light, and 10% is ultraviolet radiation. However, it is challenging to evaluate solar irradiance at the earth’s surface due to its interface with the atmosphere, which contains aerosols, clouds, trace gases, and water vapor that are temporal and vary geographically.

Solar irradiance is typically reduced by almost 90% atmospheric conditions on cloudy days and about 40% on clear, dry days. According to Solomon et al. (2007), solar irradiance on the earth’s surface is 198W/m2 on average.

The two primary components of solar irradiance striking the earth’s surface are: beam solar irradiance, which comes unswervingly from the sun’s disk, and diffuse irradiance, emanating from the whole of the sky other than the sun’s disk. The sum of these two components makes the global solar irradiance.

Some of the factors that determine the magnitude of solar energy used are metrological conditions, demands for energy services, and land availability. The assessment methodologies and the technical potential do vary geographically. As described by Krewitt et al. (2009). The solar electricity technical potential for photovoltaic (PV) cells and the concentrating solar power (CSP) plant depends on the future development of technology improvements, land use exclusion, and solar irradiance availability.

Answer Question 1 in the study questions at the end of Chapter 8 from the text: “No firm is completely sheltered from rivals; all firms compete for consumer dollars. If that is so, then pure monopoly does not exist. Do you agree?” Fully explain your answer in a way that shows your understanding of “monopolies.” Your paper should be two to three double-spaced pages and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.

Identify innovative methods that are used by companies in order to keep their workers safe and healthy.

Identify innovative methods that are used by companies in order to keep their workers safe and healthy. How are these methods useful in the construction industry? Explain your answer. 250+ words APA Format

Performing Team 4 pages APA Format

You have just attended a manager’s meeting about establishing self-directed, high-performing teams. The company is concerned because some of the managers are having success building self-directed, high-performing teams while others are not. A discussion occurred that identified the characteristics of the successful team building elements and compared them to those managers that have not been successful. This is a situation where those who are struggling need to learn from those who are doing well. The discussions included identifying what could be going wrong and what steps might be taken for success.

You have been asked to write a research report that summarizes the meeting and offers some recommendations that might be helpful to those managers who are struggling. Specifically, your report must include:

  • Identification of the difficulties the managers may be having in establishing self-directed, high-performing teams
  • Identification of the successful characteristic of establishing self-directed, high-performing teams
  • Recommendations for success
  • A designed plan that might help guide the struggling managers and improve negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Use the Library and Internet to research this topic.

Present your findings as a 3-4 pages Word document formatted in APA style.
